Salkehatchie Caps Historic Season with 24–8 Record, Third Straight 20-Win Campaign

WALTERBORO, S.C. — The USC Salkehatchie men’s basketball team capped off another historic season in 2025–26, finishing 24–8 overall and securing the program’s third consecutive 20-win season under Head Coach Matt Lynch.

The Indians built their success around one of the most explosive offenses in junior college basketball. Salkehatchie surpassed 100 points in 20 games and produced several record-setting performances, including 156- and 154-point outings that reset the program’s single-game scoring mark. The team also delivered multiple other offensive eruptions, scoring 145, 143, 142, and 141 points in victories throughout the season.

Salkehatchie also led the nation in several statistical categories, including:

·       Scoring: 111 points per game

·       Offensive Rebounding: 19.9 offensive rebounds per game

·       Steals: 15.1 steals per game

The season began with a dramatic 134–127 double-overtime victory over Polk State, setting the tone for a fast-paced year that saw the Indians race out to the best start in program history at 8–1. Salkehatchie later put together a 13-game winning streak, matching the longest streak in school history.

Among the season’s signature wins was a 126–117 victory over nationally ranked Brunswick Community College. The Indians finished the regular season 23–7 and advanced to the Region 10 semifinals after defeating Wake Tech in the tournament quarterfinals.

Individually, Sebastian Kramar earned First Team All-Region honors and finished second in Region 10 Player of the Year voting after a standout sophomore season. Gavin Ward was also recognized with Second Team All-Region honors. Head Coach Matt Lynch earned national recognition as well, being named National Junior College Coach of the Week in mid-February.

Off the court, the program continued to excel academically, posting a 3.5 team GPA for the fall semester.

With another 20-win season, postseason success, and record-setting offensive performances, the 2025–26 campaign marked another major step forward for USC Salkehatchie men’s basketball.

What an incredible achievement by Salkehatchie—finishing with a 24–8 record and securing a third straight 20-win season really reflects hard work, discipline, and a strong team culture. Consistency like this doesn’t happen by chance; it comes from solid coaching and committed players who keep pushing every season. Just like in sports, preparation and attention to small details matter in every environment, even something simple like carrying mosquito repellent during outdoor training or events can make a difference in focus and comfort.

Great season by Salkehatchie — 24-8 record and a third straight 20-win campaign really shows consistency, discipline, and strong coaching. Programs that sustain this level of success don’t just win games, they build a winning culture year after year. It’s similar to how strong foundations in education matter too, whether in sports programs or academics like the best schools in Karachi that focus on long-term student development and excellence.
