Salk Sprints Past Cape Fear, 142-89

WALTERBORO, S.C. – USC Salkehatchie put on another offensive show Tuesday night, rolling past Cape Fear Community College 142–89. The win moves the Indians to 19–3 overall and 4–2 in Region 10 play.

The game was competitive early, with both teams trading baskets in the opening minutes. But once Salkehatchie settled in, the tempo began to wear on Cape Fear. The Indians used their depth and fast pace to pull away, taking a 73–50 lead into halftime.

Salkehatchie didn’t let up after the break. A quick 12–0 run to start the second half stretched the lead even further and put the game out of reach. From there, the Indians continued to push the ball and eventually secured the 53-point victory.

The offensive output has become routine for Salkehatchie. The team has now topped 100 points in 15 of its 22 games this season and continues to lead the nation in scoring and offensive rebounding.

The Indians will be back on the road Thursday, Feb. 12, traveling to face Region 10 opponent Denmark Tech. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Follow @USCSalkMBB on Facebook, X, and Instagram for updates and livestream details.
