WALTERBORO, S.C. –  The USC Salkehatchie men's basketball team won a thriller over local rival East Georgia State College, 103-98. The Indians improve to 3-1 overall and continue to win in Walterboro with a home record of 33-5 over the past three seasons.

Fans got their money's worth as the game was up and down from the start. Salkehatchie and East GA went run for run as the Indians took a 2-point halftime lead, 49-47.

The second half picked right back up with both teams fighting for control. Ultimately, some timely shooting by Salk, mixed with offensive rebounding, secured the win for Salkehatchie.

The men's basketball program will enjoy a day off, having played four games in six days. The Indians will be back in action on Sunday, Nov. 9, as they travel to the University of Mount Olive in North Carolina. The tip is scheduled for 3 p.m.
