Volleyball Sweeps Columbia International in Dominant Home Victory

The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie volleyball team delivered a commanding performance tonight at their home court, defeating Columbia International College JV 3-0.
Salkehatchie controlled the match from the start, showcasing both offensive power and defensive resilience throughout the contest.
Right-side Leyna Wierzbicki was a key force on offense, leading the team with 8 kills and only one error. Sophomore setter Madison Ayuso also contributed significantly, leading the team with 4 service aces. Freshman libero Hailey Stephens anchored the defense, leading the team in both digs and serve receives.
"We train every day in preparation for the opponents we face," said Coach Dani Aquino. "We've got the skills, but this Salk team is so young that getting them mentally tough is the main hurdle we must overcome every day. Tonight, we progressed closer to our goal of being the team to beat. The girls stepped up not only for themselves but for each other."
The USC Salkehatchie volleyball team will be back in action on the road, traveling to USC Union on Tuesday, September 2 for a 6 p.m. match.
