The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie is pleased to announce the appointment of Coach Dani Aquino as interim athletic director and Coach Ashleigh Anderson as interim assistant athletic director. The appointments ensure strong leadership and operational continuity for the university’s sports programs and student-athletes.

"I am grateful to both Coach Aquino and Coach Anderson for their willingness to serve," said Dean April Cone. "I am confident in their ability to provide strong leadership and ensure continuity for our student-athletes, coaches, and athletics operations."

Coach Aquino brings half a decade of experience within the Salkehatchie community to the position. Her tenure as head volleyball coach has been marked by a deep commitment to developing competitive programs and promoting the academic success of student-athletes.

"I’m excited to step into the role of athletic director and build on the foundation already in place," Aquino said. "Over the past five years, I’ve gained valuable knowledge and experience that have strengthened my passion for supporting student-athletes, coaches and our entire athletic community. I look forward to bringing positive energy and a commitment to continued growth and success for all of our programs."

Coach Anderson, who has spent the last three years spearheading the softball program, will focus on enhancing the student-athlete experience, with a specific emphasis on coordinating efforts at the Allendale campus.

"Stepping into this role is truly an honor," Anderson said. "Over the past three years, I've poured everything I have into building our softball program, and to have the opportunity to continue serving USC Salkehatchie in a larger leadership role means so much to me. This college, our student-athletes, and this community have become family. I'm incredibly proud of the growth we've seen, not just in numbers, but in culture, commitment, and support for our athletes. I'm excited to help create opportunities for our students and to  build something special here at Salkehatchie."
