Supporting Student-Athletes: A Legacy of Generosity

The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie Athletics is excited to announce the launch of our Athletic Team Fund, dedicated to enhancing the student-athlete experience and elevating our athletic programs.

This new fund will be used to improve athletic facilities and support our student-athletes by providing resources for:

Updated Apparel: We'll purchase new jerseys, practice shirts, socks, belts, and more to ensure our athletes look and feel their best.
Equipment: We'll acquire essential equipment to help our teams train and compete at the highest level.
Travel Budget: Funds will be used for safe travel, including hotel stays, meals, and snacks, ensuring our teams can focus on their performance.
Player Development: This includes bringing in guest speakers, creating educational opportunities, hosting team retreats, and adding coaches to provide our student-athletes with the best possible guidance.
Recruitment: We'll be able to travel to top events to scout prospective student-athletes and provide them with an exceptional on-campus experience.

Naming opportunities are available for those who want to leave a lasting legacy on our athletic department.

"This fund is essential to providing our student-athletes with the resources they need to excel, not just in their sport, but in their lives. By investing in our athletic programs, you're not only helping us build a competitive culture but are also shaping the future leaders of our communities," Athletic Director Chris Brown said. "The fund has received its first donation from Attorney Cooper Wilson of McLeod Law Group in Charleston, S.C. As a former student-athlete, Wilson understands the positive impact of athletics, and his contribution is a powerful show of support."
