Salkehatchie Rewrites Scoring Record in 154–71 Victory

WALTERBORO, S.C. – The USC Salkehatchie men's basketball team set a new program record for points on Wednesday night, scoring 154. Salkehatchie improved to 18-2 after defeating Thomas Ridge, 154-71. The previous scoring record was 153 points, scored on November 4, 2025, when Salkehatchie beat SEA Prep 153-88, with 8 players scoring in double digits.
Salkehatchie scored over 100 points for the thirteenth time this season and took a large lead into the halftime at 86-40. As the second half got underway, Salkehatchie continued its hot shooting and pace of play en route to the 83-point victory.
The men's basketball team will now travel to local Region 10 opponent Denmark Tech on Saturday, Jan. 31, with tip-off set for 2:00 p.m. The Indians are currently in first place in Region 10 with a 3-1 conference record.
