USC Salkehatchie Women’s Basketball Looks to Grow After Home Opener

USC Salkehatchie women’s basketball fell to Fayetteville Tech in its first home game of the season, with the coaching staff emphasizing resilience, unity and the opportunity to learn from adversity.
Eliza Baskins scored 26 points, while Jailyn Williams recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Following the loss, the coaching staff shared a clear message with the team: “Love adversity; it’s necessary!”
The message challenged players to view setbacks as opportunities to build character, strengthen their toughness and respond with determination when things do not go their way.
As Salkehatchie moves forward, the focus remains on trusting the process, staying together and finding ways to improve each day — one possession, one day and one game at a time.
