The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie Women's Basketball team delivered a dominant performance Friday night, defeating SC Central Christian College 101-65 in a high-scoring showcase marked by exceptional teamwork and offensive depth.
USC Salkehatchie's offense was firing on all cylinders, as six players reached double-digit scoring figures, demonstrating a balanced attack that proved too much for the opposition. This collective effort led to a decisive victory, pushing the final score past the century mark.
Leading the charge for the Indians was sophomore forward Kemarja Peay, who recorded a monster double-double with 16 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Peay's commanding presence in the paint set the tone for Salkehatchie's relentless attack. Matching her in scoring was guard Lanasia Wilson, who also tallied 16 points.
The deep bench production continued with strong outings from Eliza Baskins (15 points), Dalashia Brunson (14 points), Madison Kerry (13 points), and Janiya Carter (11 points). This widespread contribution underscored the team's cohesion and ability to score from multiple positions on the floor.
Looking Ahead: The Indians will return to the court for their next home game against Denmark Technical College on Thursday, Dec. 4. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the USC Salkehatchie Walterboro campus.
