Salkehatchie Storms Back for 3–1 Win Over USC Union

An opening-set loss couldn’t slow USC Salkehatchie volleyball for long. The team rallied to take the next three sets against USC Union, securing a 3–1 victory and another big conference win.

Union controlled the net early, using strong attacks and blocks to put Salkehatchie on its heels. But a reset between sets changed the momentum.

“For set 2 we regrouped, changed our tactics, and walked onto the court, determined, focused, and locked in,” the coach said.

The next three sets brought plenty of point-for-point battles, but Salkehatchie kept pushing. Liberos Hailey Stephens and Valle Martinez anchored the defense, while setters Brielle Krause and Sofia Remedios helped drive the offense.

With contributions on both sides of the ball, Salkehatchie turned a tough start into a strong finish; and another conference victory.
