Salkehatchie Golf Tournament huge success

Hosting 23 teams, the 2024 USC Salkehatchie Baseball Golf Tournament fundraiser was a huge success. The event was held at Sweetwater Country Club in Barnwell, S.C.

The tournament was held much earlier this year. "I wanted our supporters to see what a great group of young men they are supporting," Head Coach Jeremy Joye said. "But I also wanted the members of the baseball team to be able to shake the hands of those who continue to provide unwavering support, look them in the eye, and thank them."

USC Salkehatchie baseball would like to thank Sweetwater Country Club for allowing us to host the tournament again this year. We would also like to thank Shelly Peters and Dixon Golf for offering additional challenges on the course. In addition to our corportate sponsors, hole sponsors, and donors, we would also like to thank Coach Ashleigh Anderson, Wayne and Georgia Sharpe, and especially Mrs. Marian Easterlin West, who worked tirelessly for months to ensure that this tournament was a success again this year.

"The only down side to holding a tournament this time of year is that I did not want our show of appreciation to get lost in the shuffle of everything else going on with the baseball program, as we were still in the heart of our season," Joye said. "And now that things are quiet, I want everyone to know just how much the guys (members of the baseball team) and I truly appreciate the support you all continue to shower us with. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!"
