Prominence at the Palace continues as men's basketball improves to 11-3 at Home



WALTERBORO, S.C. –  The USC Salkehatchie men's basketball team defeated Action Sports Academy Prep on Friday night, 93-57. With the win, Salkehatchie improves to 14-11 overall.


In the early minutes of the first half, ASA Prep came out strong and took an early 6-point lead. After Salkehatchie settled in, they regained the lead and never looked back. Salkehatchie utilized its transition offense and unselfish play to take a 53-32 advantage into halftime.


The second half was all USC Salkehatchie, utilizing its depth to create multiple runs throughout the final 20 minutes . The 14 freshmen were able to hold ASA Prep to just 25 second half points.


With tonight's win, Salk holds a home record of 11-3, which ranks at #2 in Region 10, only behind nationally ranked Caldwell Tech (#19). While playing in the "Salk Palace," Salkehatchie has held its opponents to an average of less than 69 points per game.
