WALTERBORO, S.C. (March 18, 2026) — The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie is proud to announce that Head Men’s Basketball Coach Matt Lynch has been named one of the nation’s top coaching prospects, earning an invitation to the 4th Annual Silver Waves Media Power Lunch.

Scheduled for April 2 at IU Indy, this exclusive event features an elite list of 75 coaches identified as the premier candidates primed to become the next generation of head coaches in college basketball. Lynch joins a high-profile roster of invitees from powerhouse programs such as Kentucky, Duke, Alabama, and UConn.

The Power Lunch has become a proven springboard for coaching talent. In the past two years alone, 12 participants from this event transitioned into head coaching roles. The 2026 iteration will feature a grueling afternoon of professional development, including sessions with representatives from the top five search firms in college athletics and a high-intensity "speed dating" format designed to connect rising stars with industry power brokers.

Since taking the reins at USC Salkehatchie, Lynch has been instrumental in revitalizing the program and garnering national attention for the NJCAA Region 10 program. His selection to the Silver Waves Media list further solidifies his standing as one of the most respected young minds in the coaching profession.
