Dean April Cone threw out the first pitch of the 2023 baseball season as the Indians opened against Walters State with a 22 - 1 loss.
Coach Jeremy Joye remains optimistic about the season. “The chemistry we have as a team going into this weekend is tough to ignore. When you have a group of guys that hold each other accountable and put their focus on perfecting the little things, it is difficult not to be both excited and calm—calm because I know the work these young men have put in and I know their character. I'm excited to see what translates when it’s time to lace up the spikes and to see how we handle adversity,” he said.
